The Martabak Kubang is one of the most popular street foods from Padang Culinary. There are two Indonesian version of martabak : a sweet one, and a savoury one with egg and meat.
500 grams of wheat flour
200 ml water
1 egg
1 tsp salt
Ingredient Contents :
1/2 kg of meat cooked rendang
500 grams of sliced scallions
500 grams of celery
500 grams of onion
Seasoning to taste
10 eggs
Ingredient sauce:
500 ml lukewarm water
60 ml sweet soy sauce
1 tbsp tamarind water
1 tsp salt
50 grams sugar
1 tomato
100 grams of green chili
1 onion slicedHOW TO MAKE DELICIOUS MARTABAK KUBANG PADANG :
- Skin: Mix the flour with water, eggs and salt, knead add liquid margarine and knead until smooth. Divide into 10 sections, round and coat with cooking oil, cover with a damp towel and let stand for 1 hour.
- Sauce : Cook water with soy sauce, tamarind water, salt, sugar, chili and cayenne pepper, bring to a boil, remove from heat, add sliced tomatoes, onions and sliced green chili.
- Preparation contents: Beat 1 egg and 1 duck egg, add 3 tablespoons chopped onion and stir, 3 tablespoons chopped celery, 3 tablespoons beef rendang spices and a pinch of salt and mix well.
- Heat margarine, spread martabak skin that has been widened, pour stuffing and fold the outskirts of the skin up close to each other and cook until cooked browned, remove from heat.
- Martabak Serve warm with the sauce.
